Job Description
- Manage and supervise all cost-related activities for the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with the project budget and timeline.
- Analyze project costs, and provide detailed forecasting and reporting to project management.
- Identify cost optimization opportunities to improve efficiency across site operations.
- Subcontractor Claim Handling:
- Manage and evaluate claims from subcontractors, ensuring adherence to contract terms and scope of work.
- Investigate and resolve disputes efficiently while maintaining collaborative relationships.
- Prepare and defend claim reports/documents for approval and documentation.
- Construction Site Monitoring:
- Work closely with site management teams to review progress and ensure cost-effective practices are implemented.
- Prepare cost-based risk identification and mitigation strategies.
- Project Control Expertise:
- Apply Project Control techniques, including Earned Value Management (EVM), progress evaluation, and schedule control.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams (engineering, procurement, and construction) to ensure cost effectiveness.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain cost-related records, data, and project documentation with accuracy.
- Submit periodic reports regarding budget variances, actuals, and project forecasts.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Cost Control and/or Subcontractor Claims with large-scale construction projects, including industrial facilities.
- PMP Certification or equivalent qualifications in project control and management (preferred).
- Solid understanding of contract administration, project budgeting, and claims evaluation.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, ERP systems, or equivalent project management software (advantageous).
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
- Excellent knowledge of construction materials, techniques, and regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage cost-related challenges on dynamic construction sites.
