Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures in line with FRA regulations and company objectives.
- Lead the credit assessment and approval process for consumer finance products.
- Evaluate customers’ creditworthiness using scoring models, financial analysis, and external credit bureau data (I-Score).
- Monitor and manage the loan portfolio, ensuring portfolio quality and minimizing delinquency rates.
- Design and oversee the risk management framework to balance growth with credit risk.
- Build and lead the Credit & Underwriting team, providing training and performance reviews.
- Maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities (FRA, I-Score) and external partners.
- Prepare and present periodic reports to senior management on portfolio performance, risk exposure, and compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments (Sales, Operations, Collections) to ensure smooth end-to-end credit processes.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration (Master’s degree is a plus).
- 7–10 years of experience in credit analysis/credit risk, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Solid experience in consumer finance / non-banking financial institutions (NBFIs).
- Strong knowledge of FRA regulations and local credit bureau practices.
- Proven ability to develop and implement credit policies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and credit scoring tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in English & Arabic (written and spoken).
