Job Description
An Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager oversees a company's credit and collections function to ensure timely customer payments, maintain accurate financial records, and manage cash flow. Key responsibilities include supervising the accounts receivable team, managing the invoicing and billing process, conducting credit checks, resolving non-payment issues with customers, and analyzing financial reports. This role is critical for a company's financial stability, requiring strong financial principles and leadership skills to maintain accounts receivable ledger health.
Key Responsibilities
Payment Collection:
Overseeing the entire accounts receivable process to ensure timely collection of payments from customers.
Credit Management:
Performing credit checks on customers and managing the credit extended to them to mitigate financial risk.
Invoicing and Billing:
Managing the creation and monitoring of invoices and ensuring they are processed and sent out efficiently.
Customer Interaction:
Interacting with customers to resolve billing discrepancies and address non-payment issues.
Financial Reporting:
Organizing and maintaining accurate financial records, including bills, deposits, and transactions, and creating reports on accounts receivable balances.
Team Supervision:
Potentially supervising a team of accountants and bookkeepers in the accounts receivable department.
Process Optimization:
Identifying and implementing best practices to improve the efficiency of the accounts receivable process.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, credit management, or related finance roles.
- Previous experience in SAP
- Previous experience in FMCG companies
- Sales Buzz program
- Proven track record in managing receivables and collections within a fast-paced, large-scale organization.
- Strong leadership skills with experience supervising and developing finance teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and improve credit and collection policies.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills for dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work onsite and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards.
