Job Description
- Cascade the approved departmental objectives to each section head, oversee implementation & report results periodically.
- Develop and continuously update accounting policies and procedures to align with business requirements. Ensure their clear communication and implementation across the department.
- Oversee the preparation and timely issuance of final accounts and financial statements. Conduct data analysis for these documents and assist in annual budget preparation.
- Lead the documentation of all financial records and prepare quarterly and annual revenue reports. Submit these reports to the Finance Director for review and approval.
- Oversee bookkeeping activities and review reports on accounting matters to ensure adherence to operational and accounting policies.
- Monitor the collection of receivables, LGs, billing processes, and timely cash collection. Oversee customer accounts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, and recommend corrective actions for discrepancies.
- Oversee the process of tracking LG expiries and timely collection and ensure the regular issuing of accurate reports.
- Oversee the inventory and registration of fixed assets, ensuring accurate calculation of depreciation rates. Participate in determining insurance values and manage timely insurance payments.
- Implement and monitor effective inventory control systems across all warehouses. Report any deviations from inventory results to the Finance Director for corrective actions.
- Lead the preparation of all necessary financial data for audits. Follow up on the implementation of both internal and external audit recommendations to enhance financial performance.
- Oversee the use of SAP and other financial systems to ensure streamlined operations. Recommend and implement corrective actions when necessary, in coordination with IT department.
- Conduct performance appraisal sessions with immediate subordinates and ensure that the performance evaluation process is carried out on time and in an efficient and objective matter.
- Set the development plans and training needs for the immediate subordinates and follow up on the execution of the allocated training/program and evaluate its success.
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related area is required.
- A master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or an MBA with a focus on finance is preferred.
- 8-12 years of professional experience in accounting, with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in the medical devices or healthcare industry is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in financial planning software, financial modeling tools, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and budgeting methodologies.
