Job Description

  • Supervise daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets. 
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all financial records. 
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS) and regulatory requirements. 
  • Support the preparation of consolidated reports for senior management and Board. 
  • Monitor accruals, provisions, and reconciliations to maintain accurate financial data. 
  • Implement and monitor accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. 
  • Ensure compliance with Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) requirements and microfinance regulations. 
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation and resolving queries. 9. Mitigate financial risks by strengthening accounting systems and controls. 
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team to enhance efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Allocate tasks effectively to ensure deadlines are met. 
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s is a plus). 
  • Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred. 

Prior Work Experience: 

  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role 
  • Previous experience in financial services or microfinance industry is highly desirable. 

Language Proficiency: 

  • Fluency in both spoken & written English & Arabic language is required. 

Skills & Abilities: 

  • Strong knowledge of Egyptian Accounting Standards and tax laws. 
  • Solid understanding of microfinance accounting and loan portfolio management. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • High proficiency in Oracle systems and MS Excel. 
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. 

Knowledge: 

  • Strong knowledge of microfinance operations and familiarity with relevant regulatory environments. 
  • Expertise in accounting software, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools.
