Job Description

The Accounting Manager will oversee and manage all accounting operations within Escaross Textile Company. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, cost control, and supporting management with strategic financial insights to drive business growth. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in supervising the accounting team and implementing efficient financial systems aligned with the company’s textile industry operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting

building up the accounting team with hiring (internal & external)

creation of the accounts chart

Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Ensure compliance with Egyptian accounting standards, tax regulations, and international reporting guidelines (IFRS when applicable).

Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

Budgeting & Cost Control

Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts in coordination with management.

Monitor and control textile production costs, overheads, and raw material expenses.

Provide variance analysis and cost-saving recommendations.

Team Leadership & Supervision

Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.

Assign, monitor, and review work to ensure deadlines are met.

Provide training and mentorship to junior accountants.

Audit & Compliance

Coordinate with external auditors for annual audit processes.

Ensure tax returns, VAT filings, and other statutory requirements are filed accurately and on time.

Maintain strong internal controls and financial policies.

Strategic Support & Business Development

Provide financial insights to support the company’s business development strategies.

Participate in decision-making regarding new textile projects, expansions, or investments.

Support the Accounting Business Development function with financial analysis and feasibility studies.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 7–10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of Egyptian tax laws, IFRS, and financial regulations.
  • Experience in textile trading industry preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP (Odoo) /accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
