Job Description
- Client Acquisition: Identify and prospect new business opportunities in the freight forwarding sector through market research, networking, and referrals; develop and implement sales plans to achieve targeted growth.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, acting as the primary point of contact for inquiries and service requests; ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Solution Selling: Conduct needs analysis for clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their logistics requirements; present customized freight forwarding solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain an active pipeline of leads and opportunities; utilize CRM software to track activities, manage communications, and forecast sales accurately.
- Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to clients; effectively communicate the value of our freight forwarding services and differentiate from competitors.
- Collaboration: Work closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution of client needs and to align on service delivery capabilities.
- Market Insight: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, competitive landscape, and innovations within the freight forwarding space; use insights to identify new sales opportunities.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance and report regularly on sales activities, achievements against targets, and areas for improvement to management.
- Continuous Learning: Engage in professional development and training to enhance industry knowledge, sales skills, and product expertise.
Job Requirements
Academic, Educational &Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; relevant certifications in freight forwarding or sales are a plus.
- Experience: 3 - 5 years of sales experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry, with a demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and develop client relationships.
