Job Description
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the maintenance and project functions for factories, providing strategic direction and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Proactive Maintenance: Develop and implement proactive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime, maximize equipment lifespan, and optimize facility operations.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure that facilities, layouts, and machinery used to produce new and existing materials and goods run to their maximum efficiency and output. This includes total preventative maintenance and managing breakdowns of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams through design reviews, risk assessments, scope validation meetings, etc., to ensure proper planning and execution of tasks required to complete projects within deadlines.
- Maintenance Program Development & Implementation: Developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime, minimize downtime, and reduce maintenance costs.
- Budget Management: Developing and managing the engineering and maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and adherence to financial constraints.
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvement, implementing best practices, and driving innovation to enhance plant efficiency and performance.
- Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis: Utilizing analytical skills and root cause analysis techniques to identify and resolve complex engineering and maintenance issues.
- Strategic Planning: Developing strategic plans for enhancing engineering systems within the plant, aligned with overall business objectives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical).
- 10+ years of experience managing projects, potentially with experience leading project teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on root cause analysis.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
- AutoCAD Proficiency
- Budget Management: Ability to create, track, and manage project budgets effectively.
- Scheduling: Ability to develop and maintain project schedules using tools like Microsoft Project or similar software.
- Risk Management: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
- Data Analysis: Ability to analyze project data to identify trends, track progress, and make informed decisions.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve project issues quickly and effectively.
- Conflict Resolution: Ability to mediate and resolve conflicts within the project team.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
