Job Description
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading and managing the electrical and mechanical maintenance functions for all plant machinery and utilities, ensuring optimal performance, minimal downtime, and high reliability. The role includes supervising engineers and technicians, planning maintenance strategies, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate must have strong electrical and communication systems expertise and a proven background in the manufacturing industry, especially sheet metal processing and fabrication.
Department Management:
- Lead the entire maintenance department including electrical and mechanical teams.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and ensure their proper execution.
Technical Leadership:
- Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of sheet metal processing machinery (e.g., CNC cutting, punching, bending, Roll forming, welding).
- Ensure high performance of all factory utilities and infrastructure (compressors, HVAC, cranes, etc.).
- Apply expertise in electrical systems, automation, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
- Manage upgrades and modifications of electrical and mechanical systems.
Team Supervision & Development:
- Supervise and support a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians.
- Assign tasks, evaluate performance, and provide coaching and development plans.
- Ensure training and skills enhancement of maintenance staff.
Planning & Documentation:
- Develop annual maintenance budgets and control maintenance costs.
- Use CMMS to plan, document, and analyze maintenance work.
- Prepare technical reports, downtime analyses, and KPIs for senior management.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure that all maintenance activities follow safety regulations and company standards.
- Support audits, risk assessments, and compliance with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001).
Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Coordinate closely with production, quality, and engineering departments to support continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Participate in capital projects and new equipment commissioning.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Communication & electronics , or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal machinery and associated maintenance needs.
- Solid experience in electrical systems, PLCs, drives, sensors, and communication electronics .
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and lean maintenance practices.
- Experience in managing maintenance in metalworking/fabrication environments.
- Training in TPM, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management experience.
