Job Description

Role Summary:

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Supply Chain and logistics Supervisor, located in Sheikh Zayed, Egypt. He will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing inventory, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role involves coordinating with various departments to ensure efficient operations and handling any issues that may arise to maintain seamless logistical processes.


 

Job Description:

  • Implement the overall supply chain and logistics plan in alignment with company goals.
  • Lead, monitor, and optimize all inbound and outbound logistics operations.
  • Manage the planning and execution of procurement, inventory control, logistics, and distribution.
  • Monitor key performance indicators to ensure the supply chain is performing at or above expectations.
  • Oversee inventory movement, order fulfillment, and reverse logistics processes.
  • Oversee risk management plans related to supply continuity, logistics, and vendor performance.
  • Manage Third-Party Logistics (3PL) providers, transport contracts, and distribution center operations.
  • Establish best-in-class policies, systems, and procedures for the supply chain function.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reduce cost, and increase service levels.
  • Align supply chain activities with product development, sales forecasts, and market demands.

Operations Management:

  • Handle the daily operations of the entire supply chain network (procurement, logistics, inventory, warehousing, and transportation).
  • Coordinate with Vendors, procurement managers, and distribution centers to optimize workflows.
  • Implement routing, scheduling, and tracking systems to optimize delivery performance.
  • Utilize WMS, TMS, and ERP systems for real-time logistics visibility.
  • Ensure high availability of materials and parts while minimizing inventory holding costs.
  • Manage supply & demand planning beside the Sales & Operations Planning (SOP) processes.

Financial Performance:

  • Manage the department budget and deliver year-over-year cost improvements.
  • Optimize total cost of ownership (TCO) across the supply network.
  • Control logistics and warehousing costs through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Track and reduce procurement costs, transportation expenses, and supply disruptions.
  • Contribute to margin improvements by minimizing inventory write-offs, obsolete stock, and shrinkage.

Compliance & Standards:

  • Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations and corporate governance standards.
  • Uphold ethical sourcing practices and supplier code of conduct.
  • Maintain safety, environmental, and quality standards in all logistics and warehouse operations.
  • Ensure all documents (invoices, customs, shipping, inventory) are complete and accurate.
  • Ensure a global supply chain quality System Like: (International Automotive Task Force) (IATF 16949) (where applicable) are followed across operations.

Relationship Management:

  • Build strong strategic relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Negotiate long-term agreements with key vendors and service providers.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental collaboration between sales, finance, production, and customer service.
  • Resolve supplier disputes, quality issues, service complaints efficiently, and delivery challenges effectively.
  • Negotiate service contracts and monitor SLA performance with 3PL partners

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or any related field
  • +7 years of progressive experience in supply chain operations or logistics field.
  • Experience in the automotive or logistics industry is preferable.
  • Very good knowledge of local/international logistics regulations and Incoterms

 

Special Certifications, Licenses, Accreditations:

  • MBA holder, or certifications in logistics or supply chain is must.
  • Certification such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM), or Six Sigma is preferable
  • Good exposure to international supply chains, vendor management, and ERP systems.
