Nurse (Al Khor, QA)

Job Purpose Provide emergency treatment, primary level clinical and nursing care for routine cases for patients. Job Context & Major Challenge(s) The role required (1) handle sensitive issues associated with health care needs and possibly disputes; (2) promote confidence and trust in the standard of medical care available in a range of circumstances including emergencies; (3) keep up to date with all medical changes and actively participate in all for the health promotion programs; (4) participate in regular internal, government and other external audits. Key Job Accountabilities Undertake clinical tasks under supervision including measuring basic parameters, providing injections, conducting consultations and providing routine care. Provide emergency treatment in cases of more serious or non-routine accidents or illness including applying dressing and medication under the supervision of a physician. Assist in the transfer of patients requiring hospitalization or shore-based treatment. Compile and maintain patient records ensuring accurate and complete histories. Maintain current and cost-effective levels of medical supplies to ensure ready availability. Establish effective infection control through the proper body isolation processes, the disposal of clinical waste products and sharps. Conduct evaluation of the work environment to determine the hygiene status and take appropriate corrective action to address anomalies. Maintain optimal house cleaning standards and ensure all equipment is fully maintained and operational. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Knowledge And/or Experience 4 years' experience in either industrial or community nursing and must be licensed to practice nursing in home country.
