We have a contract opportunity for a Electro-Technical Officer with a major oil and gas client. The role is working offshore Dubai, UAE, on 28/28 rotationThe Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) is responsible for the operation, repair and maintenance of all maritime electrical and electronic equipment onboardLook after the safe and efficient operation of generators and distribution systems automatic control systems of propulsion and auxiliary machinery computers and computer networks on board, all electrical machinery and equipment onboard.Responsible for the periodic checks and maintenance required for compliance with the vessels planned maintenance programme and any maintenance which is required at any timeCompile and submit electrical material requisitions for consumables and spares parts for electrical equipment onboard (including main and auxiliary generators, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), switchboards, electric motors, Dynamic Positioning (DP) system, vessel navigation systems) to the Chief Engineer and to maintain an onboard inventory of the same.Present electrical machinery and equipment for the various surveys such as Class, Flag State, internal auditsEducational QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, Experience and Job Related Competencies Electro-Technical Officer License STCW III/6.Experience ProfilePrior experience as Electro Technical Officer on offshore DP2 Classed vessels.
