Job Description
We Are Hiring: Formulation Manager
We are looking for a Formulation Manager to join our team. The selected candidate will oversee and lead the formulation development department, managing the design, development, and optimization of pharmaceutical formulations for various dosage forms.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the formulation team, ensuring efficient workflow and timely project execution.
- Oversee the development and optimization of pharmaceutical formulations for different dosage forms, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve formulation-related challenges efficiently.
- Review and approve Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and excipients.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation, including Common Technical Document (CTD) files, formulation reports, protocols, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Manage multiple formulation projects, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D analytical, production, regulatory affairs, and quality assurance to streamline product development and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting formulation development.
- Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance to the formulation team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (Master’s degree is a plus).
- 12+ years of experience in formulation development within a reputable pharmaceutical company, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong expertise in formulation design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Extensive experience in regulatory documentation, including COAs, CTD files, and SOPs.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, and effective communication abilities.
- Adaptability to evolving industry trends and regulatory requirements.
