Formulation & Product Innovation
- Lead the formulation and development of skincare products in line with Mivida’s clean beauty ethos
- Manage clinical claims, active ingredients, and functional performance goals
- Build and maintain INCI documentation, SDS files, and testing protocols
- Ensure all products are hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, alcohol-free, and compliant with brand values
Supplier & Factory Management
- Identify and qualify new external labs, manufacturers, and co-packers globally
- Manage cost negotiations, production timelines, MOQ, and quality benchmarks
- Conduct onboarding, audits, and product trial management with new factories
- Monitor performance and ensure timely delivery of goods and samples
Compliance & Market Readiness
- Ensure all formulations and packaging meet US FDA, EU Cosmetic Regulation (EC 1223/2009), and Amazon ingredient compliance standards
- Coordinate with testing labs to obtain necessary certificates, safety assessments, and documentation for each market
- Stay updated on ingredient regulations, banned substances, and evolving regulatory frameworks
- Respond to Consumer Technical Queries
- Build compliance Database
Launch Execution
- Support go-to-market plans with product timelines, sample management, and coordination across content, packaging, and marketing teams
- Maintain product launch tracker with R&D milestones, factory approvals, and shipment readiness
- Collaborate with brand and operations teams on packaging formats, sizes, and innovation opportunities
Job Requirements
- 4–7+ years experience in cosmetic/skincare product development or R&D roles
- Deep knowledge of cosmetic formulations, raw materials, and active ingredients
- Experience sourcing or working with overseas factories (China, Turkey, Mexico, or Korea preferred)
- Strong understanding of US FDA guidelines, EU cosmetic regulations, and Amazon’s ingredient compliance
- Proven ability to manage multiple vendors, negotiate pricing, and hit production timelines
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup or entrepreneurial environment
- Excellent organization and documentation skills (INCI, SDS, CoA, lab testing, etc.)
- Passion for clean beauty, wellness, and consumer health is a must
- Background in Pharmaceutical; dermatology, chemistry, or formulation science
- Familiarity with skincare trends, sustainability practices, and global labeling requirements
