Job Description
Cloud Server Management (Contabo & AWS EC2)
- Deploy and configure new virtual servers with initial setup.
- Create and manage system snapshots biweekly to ensure business continuity.
- Handle technical inquiries and service requests via Contabo’s support (email & phone).
TSplus License Management
- Add new licenses for newly deployed servers.
- Transfer licenses between servers as needed.
- Troubleshoot server-side errors affecting remote desktop access via TSplus.
DNS Configuration & Routing (DynDNS)
- Manage Dynamic DNS (DynDNS) settings for remote client server access.
- Collaborate with client-side IT teams to configure routers and open necessary ports for TSplus access.
Email System Administration (cPanel)
- Manage company mailboxes: creation, deletion, and troubleshooting.
- Resolve issues related to storage limits, SMTP/IMAP settings, and access errors.
Client & Internal IT Support
- Coordinate with the technical support team and client IT departments on technical issues impacting Tab’s systems.
- Diagnose and support server-related disruptions quickly and efficiently.
Local Hardware, Procurement & Network Support
- Conduct in-person visits to the head office to troubleshoot hardware and software issues on team laptops.
- Set up and maintain the office’s internal network infrastructure (routers, switches, cabling, etc.).
- Handle the purchasing and setup of laptops for new employees, ensuring proper configuration and readiness
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar technical role.
- Experience with remote server providers such as Contabo or AWS EC2.
- Proficiency in managing VPS environments and cloud instances (setup, configuration, snapshot management).
- Hands-on experience with TSplus, cPanel, Dynamic DNS (DynDNS), and basic networking concepts (NAT, port forwarding).
- Good knowledge of email setup, troubleshooting (IMAP/SMTP), and storage limits in cPanel environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues on Windows-based laptops.
- Familiarity with router configurations and VPNs is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
