Job Description
Job Title: Project Manager - IT
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong technology background and expertise in managing IT projects in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex IT projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage IT projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely, within-budget, and high-quality outcomes
- Lead cross-functional teams, including IT, business stakeholders, and vendors
- Develop and manage project plans, resource allocation, and budgets
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure expectations are met
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS)
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance
- Conduct project status updates, progress reports, and retrospectives
Job Requirements
Technical Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in IT project management, with BFSI sector -advantage
- Strong technology background, including experience with BFSI systems, such as core banking, payments, and risk management
- Experience with IT project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
- Strong understanding of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Experience managing IT projects in the BFSI sector, including banking, financial services, and insurance
- Knowledge of BFSI regulations, such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, and AML
- Experience working with BFSI systems, such as core banking, payments, and risk management
Nice to Have:
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker)
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI-DSS)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
