Job Description

Broadcast IT Engineer is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting all IT-related systems and technologies in a broadcast environment. This role involves working with broadcast equipment, software, networks, and content delivery systems, ensuring smooth and reliable operation of the broadcast chain.

 Major Job Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Maintaining the fluidity of broadcast signals through the use of sound and video equipment, controlling input.
  • Ensure using all sources & elements of equipment for smooth running of video productions and televised news coverage.
  • Configures systems and specifies models, installs, evaluates, Calibrates, and operates equipment as required
  • Responsible for support broadcast operator , Installs, Repair, maintenance& Resolve any Hardware issues of all TV broadcast Systems and equipment’s, Edit Suites (linear, nonlinear), Post production and Outside broadcast Facilities (Studios on air and recording)

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Electrical Communications Engineering.
  • Proficient with all broadcast systems that are used across television media channels.
  • Good Knowledge of production system (Prefer Avid System)
  • Hands-on experience with broadcast automation systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineers, Production staff, IT).
  • Good Knowledge with IT hardware and software, including servers, storage systems, and operating systems (Linux, Windows, etc.).
  • Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, multicast, etc.) and network management in a broadcast setting.
  • Keeping up to date with the industry and changes in technology by building, maintaining, and investigating new systems and techniques.
  • Ability to work under pressure and resolve problems quickly, especially during live broadcasts or critical events.
