Job Overview: - We are seeking to hire a Technical Support Specialist to provide exceptional IT support to end users, acting as the primary point of contact between users and the IT department.
- The role involves handling emergency and non-emergency support requests, ensuring timely resolution, and providing clear communication throughout the process.
- This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements:
- University degree in computer science or related field
- 1 - 2 years of experience providing end-user support.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including extended shifts.
- Good knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs)
- Familiarity with major technical systems including: desktop operating systems,
Active Directory, MS SCCM, print servers, and AV controllers - Basic knowledge of network systems and principles
- Familiarity with various software applications and basic computer hardware
- Strong customer service skills, particularly in a financial services environment.
- Ability to actively listen and understand customer issues, and provide solutions in a clear and professional manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, MCSA) are a plus.
