Job Description
- Provide primary medical care, including diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Conduct thorough patient examinations, interpret diagnostic tests, and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with medical best practices and local regulations.
- Refer patients to specialists or higher levels of care when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining medical conditions, treatment options, and preventative care in a clear and empathetic manner in both English and German.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care as required.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Adhere to all medical ethics, professional standards, and local healthcare regulations.
- Provide medical advice and support to hotel guests and staff, understanding the specific needs within a hospitality setting.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times.
- Participate in any required training or continuing medical education programs.
Job Requirements
- Medical Doctor degree from a recognized university.
- Valid medical license to practice in Egypt (or ability to obtain one promptly).
- 1-2 years of proven post-graduation experience as a General Practitioner.
- Demonstrated experience or understanding of the healthcare needs within the hospitality industry (e.g., hotel clinics, tourist medical services, international patient care).
- Prior work experience within the healthcare industry (e.g., clinics, hospitals, medical centers).
- Very Good Speaker in both English and German (written and spoken) is a mandatory requirement.
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse patients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Calm and effective under pressure, particularly in emergency situations.
- Proficiency in basic medical software and record-keeping systems.
- Cultural sensitivity and an understanding of international patient expectations.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience with travel medicine or common tourist ailments.
- Knowledge of local medical resources in Hurghada.
