School Doctor

The School Doctor is responsible for safeguarding the health and well-being of students and staff by providing medical care, promoting health education, and ensuring compliance with relevant health regulations. This role includes managing day-to-day medical issues, maintaining student health records, and responding to emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff as needed.

Conduct routine health assessments, screenings, and immunization verification.

Maintain accurate and confidential student medical records.

Develop and implement school health policies in line with local health regulations.

Monitor and manage chronic health conditions and allergies in collaboration with parents and staff.

Identify and manage communicable diseases and implement infection control measures.

Provide medical clearance for physical activities and sports participation when required.

Educate students, staff, and parents on general health topics, hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.

Coordinate with local health authorities and emergency services when necessary.

Supervise or collaborate with the school nurse or other health professionals, if applicable.

Participate in school safety planning, including crisis response and risk management.
