Job Description

  • Plan, organize and implement instructional programs that encourage and develop student’s knowledge.
  • Have a clear understanding of the various needs of all the different groups of students.
  • Use the appropriate study materials and resources that facilitate active learning and motivate students.
  • Maintain the classroom management organize the classroom and learning resources to encourage a positive learning environment.
  • Prepare, plan and present differentiated lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within their class.. 
  • Meet the requirements for the internal and external assessments
  •  Organize and/or take part in school events, outings and activities.
  • Record, monitor, and report on student progress to the Head of Department 
  •  Ensure that the curriculum is fully covered
  •  Participate in teacher’s performance evaluation and provide feedback
  • Treat all members of the educational community with a high degree of dignity and respect .
  • Collaborate with others to plan and to educate to work.

Job Requirements

 

  • A bachelor's degree in education or a related field is usually required, along with any necessary teaching certifications.

 

  • Fluency in English is usually a must. 

 

  • Experience teaching young children, particularly in a kindergarten or early elementary setting, is often preferred or required. 

 

  •  Proven ability to create and maintain a positive and productive learning environment. 

 

  •  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. 

 

 Familiarity with specific curricula (e.g., American orIGCSE) and a willingness to follow school policies. 

 

  • Strong organization and planning skills for lesson planning, classroom management, and record-keeping. 

 

  •  A willingness to engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated with new teaching methods and best practices. 

 

  • The ability to be a leader, mentor, and support for students, both academically and emotionally. 

 

  •  Understanding of child development and learning theories. 

 

  •  The ability to implement creative and engaging teaching methods. 

 

  •  A positive and caring attitude toward students and their families. 

 

  • The ability to work effectively with other teachers and staff.
