Job Summary
We are seeking dynamic, passionate Science Teachers to teach one or more of the following disciplines: Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, Earth Science, and Life Science at the middle and/or high school level. Teachers must deliver engaging, NGSS-aligned lessons that foster critical thinking, inquiry, and curiosity, while integrating Islamic perspectives on science and ethics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging virtual lessons aligned with NGSS and Common Core literacy in science standards.
- Incorporate scientific inquiry, lab simulations, virtual experiments, and technology tools to deepen learning.
- Integrate Islamic values into science instruction.
- Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative tools; provide timely, actionable feedback.
- Maintain clear communication with students and families; collaborate with staff to support student success.
Participate in ongoing professional development and school community activities.
Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners including ELL, SPED, and gifted students.
Use digital learning platforms (e.g., Canvas, Zoom, Class) to manage instruction and assessment.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of NGSS and Common Core standards.
- Strong classroom management and online teaching skills.
- Familiarity with Islamic worldview or willingness to learn and integrate it respectfully.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Education or relevant science field.
- Experience teaching in a virtual or hybrid setting.
- Valid U.S. teaching certification in Science (Middle/High School).
- Experience using edtech tools for simulations and interactive learning.
