Job Description
The Strategy Officer will play a critical role in shaping MEK’s long-term strategy and ensuring its successful execution. This position involves conducting strategic analyses, developing action plans, and monitoring progress against strategic goals, as well as supporting the integration of digital transformation initiatives into the strategic planning process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental scans, SWOT analyses, and competitive benchmarking to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and maintain MEK’s strategic plan, including setting objectives, priorities, and timelines.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and program directors to ensure alignment between strategy and operations.
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation of strategic initiatives, providing regular updates to the Director of Strategy.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), balanced Scorecards for MEK, and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Support the integration of digital tools and technologies into strategic planning processes.
- Identify risks and opportunities that may affect MEK’s strategic objectives and propose mitigation strategies.
- Prepare strategic reports and presentations for the Board of Trustees and other stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, or a related field; Master's degree or certification in strategic planning or project management is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in strategic planning
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills with experience in developing multi-year strategic plans.
- Proficiency in strategic analysis tools and frameworks (e.g., PESTLE, Porter’s Five Forces).
- Familiarity with digital transformation strategies and tools for strategic planning is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex information to diverse audiences.
