Job Description
1. Sales Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet company revenue goals and expand market presence.
- Identify and pursue new customer segments, industries, and markets for business development.
- Maintain a consistent sales pipeline through active prospecting and lead generation.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to remain informed on industry trends, customer needs, and pricing strategies.
2. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients by understanding their needs and delivering customized freight forwarding solutions.
- Conduct sales presentations, negotiate contracts and pricing, and resolve customer inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing shipment updates and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth service delivery aligned with client expectations.
3. Sales Team Leadership
- Lead, manage, and mentor the sales team, offering guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Set clear sales targets and objectives, monitor performance, and support the team in reaching goals.
- Promote a collaborative and high-performance sales culture that fosters teamwork and motivation.
- Conduct regular sales meetings and provide performance reports, forecasts, and strategic insights to senior management.
4. Marketing & Promotional Activities
- Work with the marketing team to develop effective sales materials, presentations, and promotional content.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events to increase brand visibility and generate leads.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and competitor offerings to refine marketing and sales strategies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of freight forwarding operations and supply chain management.
- Well-established network within the freight and logistics sector.
- Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding sales targets and contributing to business growth.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong business sense and industry expertise
- Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
