DMGT Manages a diverse, multinational portfolio of companies with total revenues of £2bn, that provide businesses and consumers with compelling information, analysis, insight, events, news, and entertainment.The Role:This role involves supporting the Commercial Finance Manager in the preparation and delivery of management accounting for the MEA Portfolio. The position plays a key role in driving business efficiency and supporting commercial decision-making by improving the quality of management information and financial forecasting. It also requires ensuring that financial processes and controls are consistently followed to maintain a strong financial management and control environment. In addition, the role includes a commitment to ongoing professional development through the pursuit of qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, or CMA.Key Accountabilities:Work with Finance teams to assist with preparation of monthly management accounts and commercial accrual postings;Keep Event trackers up to date with actual spend from FinanceForce on a regular basis;Work with the Commercial Finance Manager and the commercial teams where required on the budgeting and forecasting process across the MEA portfolio;Coordinate regular budget / forecast review sessions with the commercial teams;Helping to calculate commission/bonus payments in accordance with individual schemes for payroll;Provide quality analysis were required;Ensuring that the DMG MEA Event policies are communicated, implemented and complied with, and a strong financial control environment is maintained;Carry out any reasonable project work / ad hoc task as requested;Attend training and development as required;Technical and Functional Experience:Graduate with a 2:1 minimum degree who wishes to train for a recognised accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CMA etc)Interest in working in a commercial finance roleConfidence to develop and cultivate relationships with senior business leaders that leads to open and collaborative communicationHands on approachWilling to accept responsibilityProject management skillsAble to multi-task and manage changing workloads and prioritiesAble to adapt to changing circumstances re-setting priorities as necessaryAdvanced Excel skillsPersonal Attributes:Excellent analytical and organisational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsGood communication and interpersonal skills, friendly approachable mannerSelf-motivated, conscientious and drivenAdministration and OrganisationTime ManagementAbility to work under pressure and to deadlinesAbility to work within a target driven market placeSelf-motivated / Innovative / CreativeGood team working ethicsConfident & real ‘can-do’ attitude,A flexible, pragmatic and common-sense approachPatience and an ability to communicate clear and concise instructionsEnthusiastic with a strong desire to succeedStrong attention to detailA willingness to travelLanguage capabilities – desirable but not mandatoryKey Success Criteria:Ability to work with all departmentsA team playerGood communicatorWillingness to succeed
