Job Title: Senior Project Engineer – Analyzer System Engineering & DesignLocation: Abu DhabiSalary: AED 12,000 - 15,000Job Code: 277/001/933Industry: Oil & GasJob Brief:We are seeking a dedicated Senior Project Engineer to lead and manage engineering and technical activities related to analyzer systems and sample handling components. The role involves scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and ensuring project accuracy and quality. The successful candidate will coordinate with EPC contractors and end-users, manage project documentation, and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.Job Responsibilities:Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects.Demonstrate deep knowledge of analyzer systems and sample handling components functionality.Define project parameters and assign tasks to qualified team members; oversee team performance.Liaise with EPC contractors and end-users, interpreting their needs and representing them on-site.Organize and lead kick-off, weekly, and monthly project meetings with clients.Perform quality control over budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance; provide project status reports.Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to improve project methods and maintain profitability.Prepare and review engineering documents and drawings such as procedures, schematics, general arrangement drawings (GAD), electrical wiring drawings, and related calculations.Ensure project compliance with applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications (e.g., Shell DEP and SP).Provide advice to system integration teams regarding modifications.Key Knowledge:Analyzer system engineering and design (shelter and cabinet packages)Electrical load calculations, lag time, wake frequency, and dew point analysisHVAC, fire and gas systems, and process stream knowledgePreparation of engineering documents such as Functional Design Specifications (FDS), Cause and Effect Diagrams, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) proceduresJob Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering10+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in project planning and design within analyzer systems or instrumentation projectsPreferred Gulf region experience, familiar with EPC and end-user clients such as ADNOC, ARAMCO, PDOProficiency in AutoCAD and other design softwareAbility to manage multiple discipline projects simultaneouslyExcellent project management, supervision, organizational, and time management skillsStrong leadership and decision-making abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFamiliarity with applicable codes, policies, standards, and industry best practices
