Job Description
Performing PAUT Inspections
Conduct volumetric NDE (Non-Destructive Evaluation) inspections using established and advanced PAUT techniques, including Total Focusing Method/Full Matrix Capture (TFM/FMC).
Data Interpretation and Evaluation
Analyze and interpret acquired PAUT data to identify defects and assess component integrity based on specific acceptance criteria.
Reporting and Documentation
Prepare detailed and comprehensive reports documenting inspection findings and results.
Mentorship and Training
Provide guidance, training, and oversight to junior inspectors, sharing knowledge and expertise.
Technique Development
Collaborate with UT Level 3s and NDE Engineers to develop and implement new or optimized NDE techniques for complex parts.
Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Work with vendors to troubleshoot and maintain PAUT equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
Compliance and Safety
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety procedures during inspections.
Advanced NDT Applications
May be involved in advanced NDT techniques like tube inspection, tank floor inspection, and guided wave applications.
Qualifications
Diploma /Degree in mechanical Engineering.
More than 15 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas field projects including experience in activities relevant to Civil in construction/commissioning of offshore and onshore oil and gas industry as applicable.
NDT certification as per ASNT Level- II as Per SNT-TC- 1A & ISO 9712 (Ultrasonic Testing and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing)
CSWIP/AWS welding certification for welding,
Very good knowledge of spoken and written English language including writing of technical reports.
Computer literate and familiarity with codes ASME, AWS, API, DNV, ISO and BS.
