Job Description
What You Will Be Doing
Crafting and evolving an AI-enhanced financial ecosystem that propels our growing educational enterprises
Documenting critical design decisions that streamline and expand essential financial processes
Providing written feedback on Deep Dives and Improvement Plans that refines reasoning and develops both AI capabilities and human talent
Engaging in strategic discussions covering budgetary planning, market expansion, vendor partnerships, and regulatory adherence
Orchestrating seamless financial operations—including tuition management, audit coordination, and tax compliance—at enterprise scale
What You Won’t Be Doing
Overseeing a conventional, large-scale finance department
Micromanaging monthly closing procedures or routine transaction approvals
Settling for out-of-the-box ERP solutions that don't meet our ambitious standards
Pushing challenging tasks downward—this position exemplifies hands-on leadership
Operating within a predictable, unchanging environment—our trajectory is rapid development and expansion
Global Finance Director Key Responsibilities
Design and implement a streamlined, AI-powered financial framework that drives multiple high-growth educational ventures, eliminating inefficiency while maximizing scalability.
Expert knowledge of US GAAP and integrated financial reporting
Extensive experience implementing and optimizing ERP platforms (NetSuite, SAP, etc.), preferably in complex multi-entity organizations
Direct involvement in at least 5 external audits with Big 4 accounting firms, either as auditor or client representative
Superior written and verbal communication skills in English, capable of effective executive-level engagement
Geographic location within UTC-8 to UTC+3 time zones
Nice-to-have Requirements
Knowledge of U.S.
K-12 education models (private schools, charter schools, ESA programs)
Prior success developing financial automation systems or AI-enhanced workflows
Background managing finance operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position.
The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year.
The payment period is weekly.

Minimum 10 years of progressive finance leadership experience (Finance Manager, Controller, CFO, or comparable positions)
Proven track record in executive finance leadership (SVP, CFO, or equivalent) with comprehensive oversight of core financial operations
