Job Description
- Business Growth & Strategy: Lead the bank’s customer and revenue growth strategy across retail, SME, and ecosystem verticals. Define and execute go-to-market plans for core products including savings, WPS accounts, remittances, SME financing, and investment solutions.
- Islamic Product Commercialization: Work closely with product and Shariah teams to ensure market-fit and Shariah-compliant product designs. Drive packaging, pricing, bundling, and distribution of Islamic financial products to achieve strong uptake.
- Digital Channel Optimization: Oversee digital acquisition channels (mobile onboarding, digital referrals, embedded finance, etc.). Monitor digital customer journeys and conversion rates with support from marketing and analytics teams.
- Customer Segmentation & Lifecycle Management: Develop tailored growth strategies for key customer segments: blue-collar workers, entrepreneurs, expats, and women-led SMEs. Drive engagement, cross-sell, and retention programs using digital and data-driven tools.
- Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Integration: Build commercial partnerships with employers, SMEs, fintechs, aggregators, and government-linked platforms to enable growth and onboarding at scale. Lead business development for institutional relationships and embedded banking opportunities.
- Sales & Distribution Management: Set up and oversee sales operations, including telesales, outbound digital acquisition, and SME relationship teams (as needed). Monitor KPIs such as customer growth, CAC, ARPU, LTV, and product penetration.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Islamic Banking, or Marketing. MBA or postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Experience: 15+ years of experience in banking, fintech, or financial services. Proven leadership in Islamic product development, digital banking, or commercial scale-up roles. Experience in launching or scaling products in startup or greenfield environments.
- Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding of Shariah-compliant financial products (Murabaha, Wakala, Mudaraba, etc.). Strong digital acumen, with exposure to app-based banking models, growth marketing, and channel analytics. Commercial mindset with track record of hitting revenue and acquisition targets. Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and partnership skills. Strategic thinking with tactical execution capability in resource-constrained startup settings.
