Job Description

S3 Arabia is seeking qualified accountants to join contract support to military aviation operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. S3 Arabia is looking for US and Saudi candidates. DescriptionThe Payroll Specialist performs basic accounting tasks to support payment of Saudi and US employees on an FMS contract for the SA Ministry of National Guard. The Payroll Accountant analyzes financial submissions and records and prepares standard reports and statements such as project, labor and expense reports. Assists the Project Management Certified Public Accountant and the Program Management Office Controller in a variety of accounting assignments including the preparation, analysis, review, verification and reconciliation of various records, financial reports, audits, and statements. Establishes and maintains accurate, detailed financial records. Works alongside other US and Host Nation Saudi Arabian accountants and payroll specialists to support a blended (Saudi and US) work force of more than 1100 employees.ResponsibilitiesMaintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer’s social security, unemployment, and worker’s compensation payments as applicable.Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.Provides payroll information to Team reporting requirements by responding to questions and requests.Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.May use degree to substitute for experience. 3 years of relevant experience of which 2 years must be in Finance or Accounting.Experience with payroll is required;Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning system(s).Level 3 Proficiency in Microsoft Project software suite.Has participated in month-end close-outs, creating journal entries IAW US Federal Acquisition Regulations, Internal Revenue Service, and/or Saudi Ministry of Finance requirements.Eligibility Requirements Must have a minimum of BS Degree in Accounting or Finance Must have a minimum of 3 years’ relevant business experience, of which 2 years must be in Finance and/or Accounting. Must have worked before to support company payroll operations. Must have a minimum of Level 3 proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be able to operate efficiently in English language verbally and in writing. Must be able to work collaboratively with other accountants submitting reports and input for quarterly reviews and reporting. Must be able to contract for a minimum of one year in Saudi Arabia; multi-year contracts are preferred. Must be willing to work non-standard work week of Sunday through Thursday. Must show certifications in accounting.
