Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesManage procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of wastewater treatment equipment, chemicals, and services.Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate contracts to obtain the best value for the organization.Manage the purchasing department, including store and logistics.Collaborate with internal departments, including engineering, production, projects and finance teams, to understand project requirements and develop procurement plans aligned with organizational objectives.Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements related to wastewater treatment procurement.Analyze procurement data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement process.Track and maintain inventory, perform month-end reconciliation, monitor the ageing of inventory, and make appropriate recommendations.Generate summary and analysis reports for management review.Representation in internal and external ISO audits.Key Generic SkillsStrong negotiation skills and ability to build effective relationships with suppliers.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Knowledge of wastewater treatment equipment, and relevant regulations and standards governing is highly desirable.Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, and any relevant ERP system).Good Oral & Written English - Preferred.UAE Driving License - Preferred.Qualification & ExperienceMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply chain management, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) preferred.Minimum Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the wastewater treatment or environmental services industry.
