Job Description

The Assistant Manager will typically be responsible for overseeing all phases of a project and responsibilities may include:Performing and overseeing financial analysis on companies to develop findings and recommendationsAssisting the partners and senior manager in preparing and pitching for new assignmentsManage the delivery of Financial Restructuring engagements including cash management, cost reduction, independent business reviews and contingency planning.Creating space for business development/project work by effectively delegating to the teamProvide advisory services to debtors, creditors and other stakeholders of organisations in transitionDealing with difficult, complex problems and investigating significant issuesApplying technical knowledge appropriately in the context of individual clients and display both skill and speed in resolving client problemsAssisting in the preparation of restructuring and turnaround plansParticipating in lender and owner negotiationsFor bankruptcy engagements responsibilities may include: liaising with bankruptcy lawyers and other professionals; assisting with managing liquidity (including preparing 13 week cash flow forecasts), analysis to support development of business plans and the managing of vendorsManaging insolvent and solvent liquidations across DIFC, ADGM and Mainland jurisdictionUndertaking investigative work for the benefit of recovering assets for the insolvent estateCommunicating your findings and recommendations to senior level employees and to the clientCoaching and mentoring team members, identifying and dealing with development opportunities in a timely mannerUnderstanding and applying best practice regarding departmental procedures, risk management and compliance and sets and expels to the team in their applicationPreparing reports and recommendations for lenders and other stakeholdersWho we're looking for:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferredAccountancy qualification (CA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) preferred5 to 8 years of related work experience in the areas of restructuring and turnaround consulting, crisis management, interim management, mergers and acquisitions, or a similar consulting practice or function servicing cross-industry clients at a national levelProficient in Microsoft Excel, with extensive experience developing financial models, including 13 week cash flow forecasts and estimated outcome statementsWorking with distressed organization experiencing liquidity constraints and imminent debt defaults, insolvency proceedings, including hands-on experience completing Statements of Financial Affairs, Schedules of Assets and Liabilities, and Monthly Operating ReportsAbility to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projectsStrong leadership, business development, recruiting, training, and mentoring skillsExcellent written, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal communications skillsAvailability to work additional hours and/or travel as needed
