Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements – Demi Chef de Partie (Pastry & Bakery)
Education & Experience
Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, specializing in Pastry & Bakery, from a recognized institution.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a luxury resort, hotel, or fine dining establishment.
Previous exposure to international pastry and bakery production preferred.
Experience working in wellness-oriented or health-conscious kitchens is an advantage.
Technical Skills
Solid knowledge of classic and contemporary pastry & bakery techniques.
Ability to prepare, bake, and finish breads, viennoiseries, cakes, plated desserts, and healthy alternatives (gluten-free, vegan, sugar-free).
Understanding of portion control, consistency, and quality standards in high-volume production.
Familiarity with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
Strong knife skills and ability to operate pastry equipment safely and efficiently.
Personal Attributes
Passion for pastry arts, creativity, and attention to detail.
Positive attitude, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing priorities.
Strong sense of teamwork with the ability to collaborate across departments.
