Job Description
The Senior Cost Control Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing project costs across all phases. This includes budgeting, cost planning, monitoring expenditures, and reporting. The role ensures that project costs are controlled in alignment with contractual, financial, and scheduling constraints.
- Prepare and manage project budgets and cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor and report on actual costs versus budgeted costs.
- Evaluate variations and provide cost impact analysis.
- Coordinate with planning, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure cost alignment.
- Prepare and present regular cost reports and forecasts to management.
- Review contractor invoices and progress payments for compliance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in cost control within the construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of any cost control systems (e.g., Primavera).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and cost reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
