Job Description

1. Production Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production activities to ensure timely delivery.
  • Optimize production schedules and manage resources to maximize output and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor and improve manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency and consistency.

2. Quality Control

  • Ensure all products meet regulatory standards and internal quality benchmarks.
  • Coordinate with the quality control team to address defects, implement quality improvements, and manage product testing.

3. Maintenance and Equipment

  • Ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained and operating correctly.
  • Schedule preventative maintenance and address breakdowns swiftly to avoid production delays.

4. Supply Chain & Inventory

  • Manage raw material procurement.
  • Oversee inventory levels for raw materials and finished goods to avoid shortages or overstock.

5. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Monitor operational budgets and seek ways to reduce costs without compromising quality.
  • Analyze financial data to improve productivity and profitability.

6. Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare regular reports on production, efficiency, and quality metrics.
  • Coordinate with other departments like to align operations with business goals.

7. Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management

  • Safety Protocols: Ensure the implementation and monitoring of health and safety procedures, keeping the factory compliant with safety laws.
  • Workplace Safety: Promote a culture of safety, conduct training for employees, and oversee accident investigations.
  • Environmental Impact: Ensure that the factory follows sustainable manufacturing practices and minimizes environmental impact, including waste management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in managerial role.
  • Experience in industries such as water systems, pumps, piping, or industrial equipment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, maintenance systems, quality standards, and health & safety practices.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems for production and operations management.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
