Job Description
Procurement Duties:
· Source and evaluate local and international suppliers for materials and services.
· Review purchase requisitions, request quotations, and negotiate favorable terms (pricing, delivery, payment).
· Monitor and follow up with suppliers for timely submission of invoices and required documentation.
· Coordinate with finance to ensure supplier payments are processed on time and resolve any related issues.
· Evaluate supplier performance and maintain updated approved vendor lists.
· Ensure compliance with Free Zone procurement policies and internal procedures.
· Support cost-reduction, supplier development, and contract management initiatives.
Logistics Duties:
· Oversee import and export logistics including documentation, freight booking, and delivery tracking.
· Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure smooth cargo clearance.
· Manage customs clearance according to Free Zone laws and ensure proper documentation (BL, invoice, COO, etc.).
· Maintain records of shipments and prepare required logistics reports and KPIs (lead times, freight cost, OTIF).
· Optimize logistics operations and costs while ensuring delivery performance.
Job Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
· Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within Free Zone environments.
· Strong knowledge of procurement processes, logistics operations, and Free Zone import/export regulations.
· Familiarity with supplier payment cycles, invoice follow-up, and ERP systems (Odoo, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
· Excellent negotiation, coordination, and communication skills.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
