Job Description
- Coordinate with other Technical Office engineers to produce shop drawings with attention to aesthetics and cost-efficiency
- Analyze building codes, by-laws, space/site requirements, and technical documents to assess their impact on architectural and civil designs
- Coordinate structural, electrical, and mechanical designs and determine optimal presentation methods for building plans
- Resolve conflicts between various design components to maintain design integrity
- Draft and print detailed scale plans for foundations, buildings, and structures based on sketches, engineering calculations, and technical data
- Plan interior layouts using CAD tools and software
- Define procedures and instructions in line with design specifications and material quantities
- Prepare and issue Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify conflicts or missing information
- Collect site data and perform site visits to verify measurements and assist in architectural design
- Analyze technical aspects of architectural concepts, including stress, weight, and volume calculations
- Represent architects on-site, ensuring compliance with design specs and suggesting corrections if needed
- Check dimensions and assign codes/numbers to material lists
- Understand company needs to define system specifications
- Plan and design the structure of IT solutions or systems architecture
- Communicate technical requirements clearly to development teams
- Evaluate software/hardware and recommend integration methods
- Oversee assigned programs, conduct code reviews, and provide technical support to team members
- Resolve technical issues during development and implementation phases
- Ensure architecture implementation aligns with business and user needs
- Address concerns, suggestions, and provide improvements to technical frameworks
- Monitor system performance and ensure alignment with business goals
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years in Technical Office/Architectural design
- Solid experience in systems architecture and IT project coordination (for Systems Architecture roles)
- Proficiency in CAD software, design tools, and modeling programs
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and construction practices
- Familiarity with software development processes and infrastructure design (for IT-related roles)
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and resolve interdisciplinary conflicts
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
