About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Windows Server Administrator to join our infrastructure operations team. This role will focus on the implementation, installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Windows Server environments in an enterprise, clustered, and highly available infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise working with Windows Failover Clustering, MSSQL cluster deployments, and core infrastructure services in a mission-critical production setting.
Key Responsibilities:
● Install, configure, and implement Windows Server environments (2019/2022) in enterprise data center and virtualized infrastructures.
● Plan, deploy, and manage Windows Failover Clusters and high-availability (HA) solutions for critical applications including MSSQL Server.
● Perform ongoing maintenance, patching, performance tuning, and capacity planning for clustered and standalone Windows Servers.
● Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS, NTP, and File/Print services.
● Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server (clustered and standalone), including routine backups, restores, and performance optimization.
● Implement disaster recovery strategies including system-level and database-level failover and replication configurations.
● Conduct system monitoring, health checks, and availability reporting using enterprise monitoring tools.
● Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and operational processes.
● Collaborate with IT security, networking, and DevOps teams for infrastructure enhancements and compliance initiatives.
● Provide technical support, incident resolution, and participate in on-call rotations for infrastructure services.
Job Requirements
● 5+ years of experience in Windows Server Administration within enterprise environments.
● Proven expertise in Windows Server implementation, cluster installation, and maintenance.
● Hands-on experience with Windows Failover Clustering, MSSQL cluster deployments, and Hyper-V or VMware virtualization platforms.
● Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS, NTP, and File/Print services.
● Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server (2019/2022) in clustered and high-availability environments.
● Familiarity with enterprise backup, monitoring, and disaster recovery tools.
● Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident management skills.
● Solid documentation and technical communication skills.
