Job Description
Lead and manage the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, including salary calculations, bonuses, commissions, overtime, and deductions.
Ensure compliance with Egyptian labor laws, income tax regulations, and social insurance laws. Submit accurate reports and payments to government authorities.
Continuously improve payroll processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Implement automation and best practices in payroll operations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Conduct regular internal payroll audits and prepare monthly, and annual payroll reports for senior management and the finance department. Ensure accuracy in tax withholdings, social insurance, and other payroll-related data.
Handle escalated payroll discrepancies, errors, and employee inquiries. Collaborate with HR and finance departments to resolve any payroll issues or disputes.
Assist in the preparation of payroll-related budgets and forecasts. Monitor payroll expenses and analyze payroll cost trends to provide insights for cost-saving initiatives.
Supervise, train, and mentor payroll staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle day-to-day payroll functions. Evaluate team performance and identify areas for development.
Collaborate with HR for employee data management and finance for payroll reconciliation, cost reporting, and budget alignment.
Stay informed about changes in Egyptian labor laws, tax regulations, and social insurance policies, and ensure the payroll system is updated accordingly.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, .
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role, Strong knowledge of payroll processing, labor law compliance, and social insurance regulations.
Proficient in payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Odoo) and advanced knowledge of Excel and financial software.
In-depth understanding of Egyptian payroll laws, social insurance, and taxation. Familiarity with employee benefits management, reporting, and payroll auditing.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Familiarity with HRIS and attendance tracking systems.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Experience managing payroll for a large workforce is preferred.
Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
