Job Description
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to work for a Design Consultant Engineering Firm.
- Carry out and prepare Electrical design works (Buildings, Infrastructure, Retail, Landscape, Utilities, etc.) for all Projects and not limited to preparation of (Lighting, Power (MV & LV), Power for HVAC, Structured Cabling, CCTV, Public address, Fire Alarm System, lightning and Earthing, and Cable routing design including Plans, SLD, Details).
- Preparation of necessary calculation sheets (Voltage drop, Short Circuit, Lux, Generator sizing, Load Estimation, Transformer sizing, Load schedules).
- Ensure that all designs, drawings, and documents are to current codes and standards.
- Prepare and arrange design process from conceptual stage, detailed design to final construction documents including but limited to B.O.Q, tender package, and specifications.
- Coordinating and Following-up projects data and reports with other Disciplines/Departments.
- Ensure development drawings checked and completed in an efficient and timely manner.
- Respond to RFIs (Requests for Information).
- Perform value engineering (VE) studies to optimize electrical designs for cost-effectiveness while maintaining functionality and safety.
- Review all Electrical design works (Buildings, Infrastructure, Retail, Landscape, etc.) produced by outsourced consultants.
- Prepare necessary documents for the process of tendering and awarding the projects to the contractors.
- Coordinate other discipline Engineer’s participation in layout reviews, design reviews, and technical workshops and 3D / BIM Model sessions.
- Responsible for coordination between but not limited to master planning, landscaping, and building designs.
Job Requirements
- Good level of English Language.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
- Fully understands and utilizes the capabilities, applications, and operations of computer software associated with design assignments, such as and not limited to (ETAP, ECODIAL, Dailux, Dailux Evo, etc)
- Design and Co-ordination skills.
- Ability to work in team-oriented environment.
- Computer Skills (Microsoft office, REVIT MEP “BIM Modelling”, Auto-CAD, etc.).
- Knowledge in BMS, SCADA and PLC will be an added advantage.
- High level of Communication with Internal and External Parties.
