About the Role :The Senior Tableau BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing advanced data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau. This role requires a strong understanding of data integration, governance, and visualization best practices to deliver actionable business insights. The ideal candidate will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate complex data into meaningful reports that drive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Overall Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end development of interactive and insightful Tableau dashboards.
- Establish and enforce data visualization standards and best practices for reporting consistency.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all dashboards and reports.
- Drive process automation for dashboard updates, maintenance, and performance monitoring.
- Implement governance frameworks for data security, access control, and compliance.
- Provide training and best practice guidance to business users on Tableau usage and self-service reporting.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Develop sophisticated data visualizations with complex calculations, parameters, and interactive components.
- Integrate data from multiple sources (SQL databases, APIs, cloud platforms) into Tableau dashboards.
- Optimize Tableau extracts, queries, and data models for efficient performance.
- Implement row-level security and user-based access control mechanisms.
- Monitor and improve dashboard performance through query optimization and caching techniques.
- Utilize SQL to perform data transformations, cleansing, and modeling for reporting purposes.
- Ensure proper documentation of all Tableau development processes, including dashboard designs, data models, and performance metrics.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
