Job Description
We are looking for a creative and motivated merchandiser to join our team. You will be responsible for planning, sourcing, developing, and delivering high-quality garments for our clients. You will also communicate with buyers, suppliers, manufacturers, and internal departments to ensure smooth and timely production and shipment.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor products to develop and execute merchandising strategies.
- Create and maintain product development plans, order sheets, costing sheets, and purchase orders.
- Source and negotiate with fabric, trim, and accessory suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery standards are met.
- Coordinate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure product specifications, quality standards, and deadlines are followed.
- Develop and monitor samples, lab dips, and approvals according to buyer requirements.
- Prepare and present product presentations, reports, and feedback to buyers and management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or problems that may arise during the product lifecycle.
- Maintain and update merchandising files, records, and databases.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising, textile engineering, or related field.
- Proven working experience as a merchandiser in the garment industry, preferably in the export sector.
- Excellent knowledge of garment production processes, fabrics, trims, and accessories.
- Strong creative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and other relevant software.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines.
- Fluent in English and Turkish is a plus.
