Job Summary / Overview
Provides technical expertise to enable the correct application of operational procedures. Uses infrastructure management tools to determine load and performance statistics. Contributes to the planning and implementation of maintenance and installation work, including building and configuration of infrastructure components in virtualized environments. Implements agreed infrastructure changes and maintenance routines. Configures tools to automate the provisioning, testing and deployment of
new and changed infrastructure. Identifies operational problems and contributes to their resolution, checking that they are managed in accordance with agreed standards and procedures. Provides reports and proposals for improvement to users and managers.
The Network Specialist role is highly specialized and experienced in handling network change, outage, problem and request management. They also have high proficiency on a wide range of Cisco platforms and networking technologies.
They also have experience on client interfacing and coordination. They are also responsible for maintaining high proficiency as subject matter experts on the assigned Teleperformance clients and technology.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities (may perform other duties as requested not specifically addressed in this document)
- Implement, configure, analyze, and support the company's internal and external data communications systems which include the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN)
- Provides subject matter expertise for IT Project and initiatives
- Creates and uphold standard operating procedures and documentation
- Responsible for network design, implement and delivery with the approval of the Architecture team
- Provide support escalation in Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, or other network and system problems.
- Providing support and assisting other groups in problem resolution
- Ensure appropriate capacity and performance planning for systems to maintain and accelerate global business growth
- Utilize expert protocol analysis tools for troubleshooting
- Responsible for participating in network audits and developing remediation solutions
- Document network designs and solutions and develop and maintain network diagrams for the network solutions
- Assist to establish best practices and policies for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network devices.
- Participate on a 24 X 7 On Call Support rotation with 2 day off per week
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional
- publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Provide guidance to members of the team.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or any related course.
- Minimum of 6 – 8 years network engineering, delivery, implementation experience.
- CCNP R&S or CCNP Security Certification is a must.
- Fortinet/Palo Alto certification is a must.
- Advanced understanding and experience in VPN technologies and routing protocols like BGP,OSPF, EIGRP
- Advanced understanding and experience in QOS and Layer 2 protocols like STP, vPC
- Advanced experience in handling a wide array of Cisco platforms like routers, switches, firewalls and WLAN controllers.
- Preferably with experience on any SD-WAN platforms
- Strong problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of service framework such as ITIL
- Effective verbal, listening and documentation skills in the English language
- Ability to work under pressure and has an excellent decision making skills.
