Job Description

 

  • Supervise and guide the technical office engineers in the preparation of shop drawings, cutting lists, and material specifications.
  • Ensure effective allocation of workload, monitor progress, and provide continuous feedback and technical support.
  • Approve and oversee and create detailed shop drawings and ensure their compliance with design intent and production capabilities.
  • Validate accuracy and completeness of cutting lists, bill of materials, and order forms before releasing them to production or procurement.
  • Review and approve the selection of materials (wood, metals, accessories, paint, textiles, etc.) proposed by engineers, ensuring suitability, availability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Optimize and standardize production solutions and ensure proper conversion of designs into efficient and scalable manufacturing steps.
  • Act as the key liaison between the technical office and other departments including production, procurement, design, warehouse, sales, and finance.
  • Oversee the management and updating of the operations report across all project phases.
  • Monitor project progress, flag technical issues, and provide solutions to ensure project delivery meets deadlines and quality standards.
  • Implement and enforce technical standards and procedures across the department.
  • Identify process improvements and implement tools to boost efficiency and quality in documentation and production readiness.
  • Represent the company in technical meetings, presentations, and workshops with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure all approved and signed project documents (B.O.Q, P.O, drawings, etc.) are saved, archived, and version-controlled in both hard and soft formats.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of applied arts or architecture or industrial engineering 
  • Proven experience in the same field
  • Leadership skills 
  • Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, sketchup, Cut List, Rhino, Solidworks.
  • Master quantity surveying and exporting BOQ for furniture pieces
  • Costing & cost analysis.
  • Master furniture Shop-drawings
  • Excellent command of MS Office applications (Word – Excel - PowerPoint- project management)
