Job Description
- Lead the technical office activities related to aluminum facade projects, ensuring all designs and shop drawings meet project specifications and industry standards.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, and contractors to clarify technical requirements and resolve design discrepancies.
- Prepare, review, and approve detailed shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for facade systems.
- Oversee the preparation of bill of quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and procurement schedules for facade materials.
- Conduct technical evaluations of supplier and subcontractor proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Provide technical support during the installation phase, addressing site queries and ensuring adherence to approved designs.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain quality and timelines.
- Ensure all documentation, including as-built drawings and operation manuals, is completed and submitted on time.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in aluminum facade technologies and integrate best practices into project execution.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years and up to 10 years of experience in technical office roles focused on aluminum facade solutions.
- Proven expertise in preparing and reviewing shop drawings and technical documentation for facade systems.
- Strong understanding of facade engineering principles, materials, and installation techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and quality.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing facade engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software commonly used in facade engineering.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
- Ability to work independently and lead technical office activities with minimal supervision.
- Experience in preparing BOQs, cost estimates, and technical submittals.
