Summer
This role involves understanding client business requirements, designing solutions within D365 F&O, configuring and customizing the system, testing, training users, and providing post-implementation support.
The consultant acts as a liaison between the business users and the technical team, translating business needs into technical specifications and ensuring the solution meets the client's objectives. This role focuses specifically on the Finance and Operations modules of D365.
Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Conduct workshops and interviews with client stakeholders to understand their current business processes, pain points, and future needs within the F&O domain. Document these requirements clearly and comprehensively.
- Solution Design: Design and configure the D365 F&O modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cost Management, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Production, Procurement, Sales) to meet the client's specific business requirements. Focus will be on relevant F&O modules.
- Configuration & Customization: Configure D365 F&O based on the approved design. This may involve setting up legal entities, defining chart of accounts, configuring workflows, customizing reports, and personalizing workspaces.
- Testing: Develop and execute test plans to ensure the system functions as expected and meets the client's requirements. This includes unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Training: Develop and deliver training to end-users on how to use the D365 F&O modules. Create training materials and conduct hands-on training sessions.
- Data Migration: Participate in data migration activities, ensuring data is cleansed, transformed, and loaded into the new D365 F&O system accurately.
- Go-Live Support: Provide post-implementation support to clients, troubleshooting issues and answering questions related to F&O.
- Documentation: Create and maintain project documentation, including requirements documents, design documents, test plans, training materials, and user manuals.
- Project Management: Contribute to project planning, execution, and tracking. Communicate project status updates to the project manager.
- Best Practices: Stay up-to-date on D365 F&O best practices, new features, and industry trends.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on D365 F&O.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Soft Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a functional role related to ERP implementations, specifically with D365 F&O or previous versions of Dynamics AX.
- Strong understanding of business processes related to the relevant F&O modules (e.g., finance, supply chain, manufacturing).
- Proven experience with D365 F&O configuration and customization.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
