Job Description
- Identify business areas that can be improved to increase efficiency and strengthen business processes.
- Work closely with others throughout the business hierarchy to communicate their findings and help implement changes.
- Analyzing the needs of the business and coming up with solutions to business problems.
- Understanding service objectives and capturing business requirements through active listening & questioning techniques.
- Identify business & systems process improvements from Big Picture to detail level.
- Analyzing and documenting requirements for the projects.
- Analysis of stakeholder activities to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.
- Understanding the dynamic market needs and provide inputs for additional features for existing products.
- Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.
- Perform product demos to customers and develop relationships in key clients.
- Provide product training to customers through training sessions and webinars.
- Communicate product status reports, assessing risk and new opportunities in each region.
- Gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits.
- Create workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
- Oversee and manage the Product & Operations Team to develop and launch approved products and services.
- Own the product lifecycle from requirements gathering through production and release.
- Responsible for deliverables to support Engineering documentation.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering in Computer science or related fields.
- 5-10 years of technical product owner/business analysis experience, with a focus on software products and technologies
- Experience in software development cycle is a must.
- Excellent writing & documentation skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong software development background.
- End-to-end product management experience with software/web technologies.
- Technically hands-on and has previous software development experience.
- Good understanding of the GIS industry, products and services including categories, features, architectures and communication protocols.
