Job Description
- Delegate duties and tasks within the IT department.
- Acquire a complete understanding of a company’s technology and information systems
- Plan, research and design robust security architectures for any IT project
- Review completed tasks to ascertain compliance with standards.
- Research security standards, security systems and authentication protocols
- Develop requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual
private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related network devices - Test final security structures to ensure they behave as expected
- Respond immediately to security-related incidents and provide a thorough post-event
analysis - Update and upgrade security systems as needed
- Design and implement network infrastructure multiple security zones.
- Install and configure servers, network devices and firewalls.
- Administer and support core Microsoft, Cisco and VMware technologies.
- Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions
that will make a hands-off environment. - Provide support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend
maintenance. - Interact with customers and staff at the technical level, as required.
- Implement and Manage SAN & NAS storage systems
- Interface with third party vendors as liaison between IT Department and vendors
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Engineering or Information Technology.
- 2-3 years working experience in a similar position.
- Microsoft Certification (MCSE/MCITP Server) or equivalent certification.
- Managing server virtualization technologies like VMWare Server/ESX or Microsoft Hyper
V/Virtual Server. - Cisco Certified Network Associate or Professional -CCNA/ CCNP.
- Managing backup & archiving solutions (Symantec Backup Exec / Veam) including
configurations & deployments. - Ability to listen to his team members and communicate instructions effectively
