Job Description
Translation Project Management:
- Manage translation projects (numerous files, multi-lingual) from start to finish handing over to the Senior PM for sign off.
- Follow the translation project management process.
- Full assess the translation project and format files ready for translation etc.
- Meet tight deadlines to ensure that the translation is completed and ready for signed by the agreed time schedule.
- Use Translation Memory software as appropriate, updating Translation Memory database at the end of projects.
Translators and Revising / Vendor Management:
- Full responsibility for selecting translators, revisers and reviewers that meet company’s expectations.
- Manage the admin process
- Communicate with translators and revisers
- Support the translators and revisers in their enquiries regarding the translation project and TM software.
- Research any translation queries etc.
Translation Memory and other software:
- Support the Senior Translation Project Manager in growing and developing Translation Memory databases
Quality Process:
- Check each translation project using quality checks after revising stage before hand over for sign off.
Job Requirements
- Translation degree - Master's degree preferred
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Excellent presentation/communication skills, with the ability to clearly present the localization life-cycle to clients
- Organizational and leadership skills
- Proven abilities in project planning, resource and risk management
- Computer literate (in particular in excel), and able to develop knowledge of CAT tools
- Problem-solving capabilities
- Detail orientation with the ability to multitask
- Strong team player in a multi-language/multi-cultural environment
- Self-starter and pro-active
- Knowledge and eagerness to learn and identify new technologies and new tools
