Job Description

  • Develop, implement, and manage HU’s social media strategies across various platforms to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
  • Create, curate, and schedule compelling content (text, images, video) that aligns with the university’s mission and values.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics to optimize campaigns and inform future strategies.
  • Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and foster a positive online community around sustainable development topics.
  • Collaborate with academic departments, marketing, and external partners to promote events, initiatives, and achievements.
  • Stay updated on the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure HU remains at the forefront of digital communication.
  • Support the planning and execution of paid social media campaigns to reach targeted audiences.
  • Manage social media calendars and ensure timely delivery of content in line with university objectives.
  • Assist in crisis communication and reputation management on digital platforms.
  • Coordinate with graphic designers, videographers, and other content creators to produce high-quality multimedia assets.
  • Manage social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn).

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of proven experience in social media management or digital marketing.
  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging content tailored to different audiences.
  • Experience with social media analytics tools and reporting.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail and a passion for storytelling.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with sustainable development concepts is a plus.
  • Creative content writing and marketing skills.
  •  Proficient in scheduling and analytics tools such as Meta Business Suite.
  •  Basic design skills using tools like Canva or Photoshop are preferred.
